Alastair and Steven worked together for 3 years in a large L&D consultancy, and worked together on a variety of programmes with large blue-chip companies such as Rolls-Royce PLC and AXA Group as part of the same Learning Solutions team. Alastair and Steven have exchanged advice on a number of points as they both start their innovative 21st century businesses in 2009, exchanging advice on 21st century learning technologies and new developments in the fields of organisational development and learning solutions.

Alastair has 10 years experience in training and development, 7 years line management experience and has gained a Masters in Organisational Behaviour.

Alastair combines his practical management experience, post-graduate study in organisational development and years of experience in learning and development to offer a fully rounded client service. His passion for excellence and creativity in facilitating learning has led to many inspirational global interactions with large blue chip clients including KPMG, RBS, The AA, AXA, Unilever, Rolls-Royce, Sony, LSIS and The Savoy Group as well as many smaller niche organisations.

Training Approach & Style

Alastair’s training style and approach is creative and participative with the focus on learner discovery, rather than chalk and talk. Am focussed on learner application beyond the classroom and maximising naturally occurring learning opportunities. He also has a strong interest in psychology and its practical application.

Alastair is able to unlock tricky organisational challenges and provide a range of pragmatic, inventive and cost effective solutions.

Specialist Skills

His particular areas of interest are management and leadership development (including ILM and CMI approved programmes up to Diploma level); performance management, employee engagement, advanced business communication, creativity and innovation, trainer development, image consultancy and the use of technology in blended learning. Alastair is very experienced in both training design and delivery.
